Acoustic Jam Circle at the Spencer Creek Market on June 23rd

August 5th

René & Bob — of Late for Dinner fame — will host an acoustic jam/song circle on August 5th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on stage at the Spencer Creek Growers Market. A mellow place to learn and share music, contribute to the sweet ambiance of our outdoor country market and enjoy each other’s music and company. All levels and styles of players and singers are welcome!

July 29th

Join us in the morning on July 29th when the Spencer Creek Growers Market welcomes Rainwalkers, offering an original mix of funk, rock, reggae and blues. In the afternoon we’ll have Buffalo Gals, playing ballads, cowboy classics and lively dances from the roots of American music. Including Café la Grange, Genie’s incomparably eclectic outdoor eatery, we’ll have 15 vendors offering pasture-raised meats, sourdough bread, local honey, flower bouquets, vegan cookies, cakes, pastries & savories, local stone-milled flour, dried peas & beans, duck and chicken eggs, organic veggie starts and produce of all kinds. There will also be crafters selling paintings, greeting cards, painted terra cotta pots, ceramics, Waldorf-inspired handmade toys, dolls and other treasures. We’ll also have Michael Kemp on hand, offering his knife and tool sharpening services and New World Farmstead will have two 15-week-old mini-Nubian doelings for sale.

July 22nd

Join us on July 22nd when we’ll have three marvelous local bands performing. Banjo Youngblood of Humble George perform at 10:30, Alex Forester of Sounjaneer at 11:45 and Friends Three at 1 p.m. Genie will be running the Café outdoors and providing us with yet another inventive locavore lunch spread to choose from. Thanks go out to our many wonderful neighbors who made this year’s Locavore Hamburger Luncheon the largest in the five years we’ve been holding it!
