Sean Gill, a master of American Fingerstyle guitar playing and one of our all-time market favorites, returns to perform on the 29th. The market will also be holding a Plastic Recycling Day during which we’ll be providing a convenient, local drop-off collection point one day ahead of the Lane County Waste Management’s First Free Plastics Roundup Event. The Spencer Creek Growers Market will have collection bins marked for three categories of plastic that are being accepted for recycling.

September 15th

This coming Saturday, September 15th, we’ll be featuring our Annual Locavore Hamburger Luncheon at the Spencer Creek Growers Market. We’ll be serving pasture raised beef burgers on buns made from organic, locally grown heirloom whole wheat flour, baked black beans with honey, roasted red potatoes from Let it Grow Farm, green salad from our local gardeners, apple and blueberry pies with whipped cream, all sweetened with honey rather than sugar. Genie’s special sauces (tahini, ginger carrot, basil, etc.) will also be available for folks that want to add extra pizazz to their burgers! Music will be performed by the Daniel Powell Quartet, an extraordinary group of musicians who have played together for the past several years in the Eugene area. Hope you can make it!!
