Stretch your Food Dollars

Thanks to grants from the Willamette Farm and Food Coalition and the Farmers Market Fund, the Spencer Creek Community Growers Market continues it’s enthusiastic participation in Double Up Food Bucks Oregon. In 2025 we will once again be providing our SNAP customers with up to $20 per customer per market day when they present their card at the manager booth.

Most of our produce vendors are also qualified to accept Farm Direct Dollars which are provided through Oregon’s Farm Direct Nutrition Program. The market will match your $4 coupon, thereby giving you $8 of locally grown fruit, vegetables and edible herbs!

Also available at the manager booth during the 2025 season are two food equity currencies: Little Lettuce (a produce-only currency for children under 12) and Bucka Bucka Bucks (a lean protein subsidy for low-income households). Ten dollars in BBB tokens are provided to low-income customers and can be used to purchase eggs and lean protein meats. Children under 12 will receive five dollars in Little Lettuce tokens which can be spent on produce from any of our produce vendors. Each of these programs are funded and administered by the Willamette Farm and Food Coalition.

Visit Sue and Dan at the Laughing Oak Farm booth where you’ll find meat from both pasture-raised chickens and pasture-raised goats.

Below is a handy reference illustrating what you can purchase with these different currencies.
