Market Manager – Ava

Oversees the set up and running of the market. Reminds and communicates our Rules and Regs to vendors, assists vendors and customers when approached with any questions and concerns, operates Point of Sales Terminal, distributes tokens, keeps the daily bookkeeping and has a broad knowledge of the workings of the market including state and local laws pertaining to food safety. The Market Manager serves on the board.

The market manager receives a $1000 stipend for daily market tasks, including end-of-day vendor fee collection and token reimbursement as well as SNAP, DUFB and Food Equity transaction reporting. Following the close of the market season in October the manager is eligible for an additional $1000 stipend if the end-of-season reporting is completed according to the DUFB and Food Equity grant agreements.

Ava hopes to continue in her role as Market Manager for at least the first few weeks of the 2025 season, during which time she will be training her replacement.
