September 15th

This coming Saturday, September 15th, we’ll be featuring our Annual Locavore Hamburger Luncheon at the Spencer Creek Growers Market. We’ll be serving pasture raised beef burgers on buns made from organic, locally grown heirloom whole wheat flour, baked black beans with honey, roasted red potatoes from Let it Grow Farm, green salad from our local gardeners, apple and blueberry pies with whipped cream, all sweetened with honey rather than sugar. Genie’s special sauces (tahini, ginger carrot, basil, etc.) will also be available for folks that want to add extra pizazz to their burgers! The $12 price for the meal includes a full plate plus dessert. The hamburger a la carte is only is $6, as are side dishes. Dessert on it’s own is $4. Proceeds from this fundraiser help pay for market expenses. We’ve also managed to line up the Daniel Powell Quartet, an extraordinary group of musicians who have performed together for the past several years in the Eugene area. Hope you can make it!!
