August 26th

Join us this Saturday, August 26th, when we’ll be bringing you three live music performances. Our own Randy Moore, who doubles as our Camas Country Mill retailer, will lead the Adams Elementary School Marimba Ensemble in what’s sure to be a crowd-pleasing performance. For the Noon hour we’ll have Mark & Andy from The Truck Stop Tour playing popular bluegrass tunes on banjo & guitar. Beginning at 1 o’clock we’ll be hearing from Daniel Cioper who’ll perform folk songs inspired by our long and abiding tradition of grassroots social evolution.

Spencer Creek Market Acoustic Jam Circle

August 19th

Spencer Creek Grower’s Market is hosting another Acoustic Jam Circle this Saturday, August 19, 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A mellow time to learn and share music, contribute to the sweet ambiance of our outdoor country market and enjoy each other’s music and company. All levels and styles of players and singers are welcome!

August 12th

This coming Saturday, August 12th, we’ll have 3 groups performing. We begin with the ethereal harmonies of the Sacred Heart Singers and then move to the foot-tapping folk tunes of Late for Dinner. At one o’clock we’ll hear from the talented and energetic acoustic duo, Buffalo Gals, who will bring us cowboy classics and lively dances from the roots of American music.

August 5th

René & Bob — of Late for Dinner fame — will host an acoustic jam/song circle on August 5th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on stage at the Spencer Creek Growers Market. A mellow place to learn and share music, contribute to the sweet ambiance of our outdoor country market and enjoy each other’s music and company. All levels and styles of players and singers are welcome!

July 29th

Join us in the morning on July 29th when the Spencer Creek Growers Market welcomes Rainwalkers, offering an original mix of funk, rock, reggae and blues. In the afternoon we’ll have Buffalo Gals, playing ballads, cowboy classics and lively dances from the roots of American music. Including Café la Grange, Genie’s incomparably eclectic outdoor eatery, we’ll have 15 vendors offering pasture-raised meats, sourdough bread, local honey, flower bouquets, vegan cookies, cakes, pastries & savories, local stone-milled flour, dried peas & beans, duck and chicken eggs, organic veggie starts and produce of all kinds. There will also be crafters selling paintings, greeting cards, painted terra cotta pots, ceramics, Waldorf-inspired handmade toys, dolls and other treasures. We’ll also have Michael Kemp on hand, offering his knife and tool sharpening services and New World Farmstead will have two 15-week-old mini-Nubian doelings for sale.

July 22nd

Join us on July 22nd when we’ll have three marvelous local bands performing. Banjo Youngblood of Humble George perform at 10:30, Alex Forester of Sounjaneer at 11:45 and Friends Three at 1 p.m. Genie will be running the Café outdoors and providing us with yet another inventive locavore lunch spread to choose from. Thanks go out to our many wonderful neighbors who made this year’s Locavore Hamburger Luncheon the largest in the five years we’ve been holding it!

July 15th

Mark your calendars for this Saturday, July 15th, when we’ll be presenting our Fifth Annual Locavore Hamburger Luncheon, featuring local (from right across the street!) grass fed beef, baked beans, roasted potatoes, green salad and blueberry pie, all for just $10. Our outdoor eatery, Café La Grange will open at 10 a.m. with fresh-roasted coffee from Cafe Mam and delicious bakery items from Jen at Cookie Conscience. Lunch will be available beginning at 11 a.m., coinciding with live performances by two splendid local bands.

July 8th

During the lunch hour this Saturday, July 8th, we’ll have Gordon Kaswell on stage, who performs locally and has been teaching folk, blues, rock, swing and jazz on both acoustic and electric guitar at the Shedd for the past 10 years. Gordon will be followed by Archie Slim, a self-taught guitarist, who’ll be playing from 1 pm to 2 pm.

July 1st

Be sure and include the Spencer Creek Growers’ Market on your must-do list for this Saturday, July 1st. We’ll begin with a performance by the Willamette Brass Quintet at 10:30, followed by local jazz/folk/blues/rock guitarist Rick Leighton at 11:45. In the afternoon we’ll feature Sean Gill, an accomplished guitarist who’ll be performing unique and inspired instrumental pieces from 1 to 2 p.m. And yes, in a pen behind the stage, the seven dwarf goat kids will performing all day long !!

June 24th

Join us on June 24th when we’ll have performances by Dan McNalley in the morning, followed by singer/songwriter Delina Rose during the noon hour, followed by the dynamic father-daughter duo, Danny & Josephine, between 1 and 2 in the afternoon. Grab a plate of food at our outdoor cafe, pull up a chair and plan on making a day of it! We’ll also have several Nigerian Dwarf goat kids in the goat pen behind the stage that we’re sure you’ll enjoy meeting…
